Pig-proof Water Bowl

Pigs are water bowl flipping monsters. Here is an easy, affordable fix.

Materials:

  • Two bowls(one that will fit snugly inside the other)
  • 2 foot by 2 foot piece of plywood(preferably 3/4 inch thick)
  • Short wood screws
  • Industrial type adhesive (liquid nails, contact cement, gorilla glue.

Screw the bigger of the two bowls to the plywood (use lots of screws, mainly around the edges) dead in the center of the board. Next spread the adhesive all over the inside and top lip of the bigger bowl. Set your smaller bowl inside the larger and let dry then fill with water.

This is simple physics. The pig will have to step onto the board to reach the bowl. If the pig tries to flip it, its body weight prevents that.
